Omens of the Earthly Stars

This work explores humanity's fate during the early stage of the pandemic through observation of 25 hotel windows outside the artist's apartment. The light and dark of the windows in the city are like stars. The artist connects the illuminated windows to form different symbols in an attempt to record her personal thoughts and predict the future of humans, like astrology in ancient times.

Art Statement

Keming creates works that explore themes of human existence, myth, and history through the lens of personal memories. She explores different media, including drawing, sculpture,  and video art. She seeks to build a connection with the audience. Touching them, shocking them, expanding their world from reality to infinity. The act of art-making is like weaving a web. Exposing the pre-existing threads that make the world, and add new layers to this great entity.
