Rhythm
Rhythm is a live performative installation comprising twenty-four smart Wi-Fi-controlled LED light bulbs. Each light bulb links with a light source in the artist’s apartment and will be switched on and off correspondingly. By live-streaming the use of light in different functional areas of the artist’s apartment, this installation displays the artist’s life trajectory and creates her life rhythm during the pandemic through the changes of light.
Art Statement

Cissy Huang is the designer of an object currently living in Chengdu, China. Her interdisciplinary background of studying designed objects, architecture and experimental photography at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago inspired her to use functional objects and their relations to human beings as media to express her philosophical thoughts.
